Mute a thread, a sender or a kind of email

Less like this: silence one conversation, one sender, or a whole type of email, or snooze an item until later.

On Today, click ⋯ on a card → Less like this…. In an open item, use ⋯ → 🔕 Mute options…. You’ll see Don’t bother me about… with these choices:

  • Mute this thread: no more cards from this one email conversation. Everything else from the sender still comes through.
  • Stop hearing from [sender]: future email from this sender is filed quietly. Good for autopay notices and automated alerts.
  • Don’t bother me about this kind of thing: hides future emails like this one, even from different senders.
  • Snooze until…: keep the item, but hide it until tomorrow, Friday, next week or a date you pick.

After a mute, the item is cleared from your list (not deleted) and the message says Muted. Clearing this task from your list.

Changed your mind? Muted senders and topics are listed in Settings → Quieted, where you can remove them. See See and undo what you’ve quieted.

Snoozing only hides the item. A reminder you set or a deadline heads-up for it can still arrive on time.
