Your daily briefing, recap and week in review
A short, plain-English rundown of your day on Today, an evening recap, a weekly review, and the option to hear it read aloud or get it by email.
The briefing is a short note about your day: what’s coming up tonight, what needs attention, and anything worth a heads-up. Its first line appears under the greeting on Today, and the rest is in the card in the side column. Click Read the whole thing to expand it.
Recap and week in review
The card has three tabs:
- Briefing: today’s briefing.
- Recap: a look back at what got done and what’s still open. Today’s recap is ready after 5pm; before that you’ll see yesterday’s.
- Week: a review of the past week, written on Sunday evenings.
Hear it read aloud
Click the speaker button at the top of the card to have the tab you’re looking at read aloud, in the voice you picked in Settings → Profile. Click it again to stop. This shows when spoken replies are part of your plan.
When it updates
Trillitask writes the briefing when you open Today, and refreshes it (at most once an hour) when something has changed, like a finished task or important new mail. Its tone follows the time of day: a kick-off in the morning, a check-in at midday, and a wind-down in the evening. Each workspace gets its own briefing.
Get it by email
- Open Settings → Notifications.
- Under Daily Briefing, turn on Send briefing via email.
It arrives around 7am in your time zone.
Spam, scams and junk mail are never mentioned in the briefing.
