Let family add to a list, no account needed
Your spouse, kids or roommates can add to your lists by text message, by a private link, or by email, without signing up for anything.
Included on every plan
Anyone can add to one of your lists, even if they’ve never heard of Trillitask. There are three ways, and you can use all of them on the same list.
| Way | Good for | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| By text | A spouse or teen who lives on their phone | Text a code word and the item, like “HONEY fix the gate” |
| By link | Anyone, on any device | Open a private link, type the item, tap Add |
| By email | Forwarding things, older relatives | Send an email to a mailbox you connect for the list |
Set it up
Open Lists, pick the list, and click the share icon in the list’s header. The panel Let family add to this list has a section for each way.
What you see when someone adds something
- A notification: “Sam added to Groceries”, with the item. It also reaches your phone if notifications are on.
- The item on the list with Added by Sam.
Items people add stay on the list. They don’t jump onto your Today page unless you send them there with ←.
