Trillitask help
Your assistant: Today, chat, email, reminders, calendar, lists, plans and booking links.
Getting started
What Trillitask does and how to set it up.
How Trillitask works
Trillitask reads the email you connect, turns what needs you into short cards on Today, and answers to plain English in the ask bar.
Set up Trillitask in five minutes
A short checklist: time zone, email, notifications, your phone and the app.
Find your way around
The sidebar, the header, the profile menu, dark mode and the Apps section.
Today
Your home page: what needs you, what’s on, and your briefing.
Using Today
What each section of Today means: Needs you, Today, Coming up and Older, plus the briefing and schedule on the side.
Done, Later and the ⋯ menu
Every card has the same few actions: finish it, push it to another day or a list, reply, mute similar items, or delete it.
Older items and Clear all
Stale items move to Older on their own. Clear them all in one click without deleting anything.
Your daily briefing, recap and week in review
A short, plain-English rundown of your day on Today, an evening recap, a weekly review, and the option to hear it read aloud or get it by email.
Ask bar & chat
Ask, add and find in plain English, by typing or talking.
The ask bar: ask, add or find
One box at the bottom of every page. Type to search, press Enter to ask the assistant, or tap the mic and talk.
Chat with Trillitask
The full-size conversation: past chats on the left, photos, voice and spoken replies.
Things you can ask Trillitask
Tasks, reminders, calendar, email drafts, lists, memories, catch-ups, plans with friends and more, all in plain English.
Talk instead of typing
Use the mic in the ask bar, in Chat and when replying to email, and have replies read aloud.
Text Trillitask from your phone
Verify your number once, then text the assistant like a friend: add tasks, set reminders, ask what’s next, even send a photo.
Connect mailboxes, reply in seconds, and quiet what you don’t need.
Connect an email account
Add Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, AOL or any other mailbox. Most need an app password, which takes about two minutes to make.
How your email becomes cards
What gets a card, what is filed quietly, and why one conversation stays one card.
Open an item: the detail view
Click a card to see the full email thread, the reply box, details, and everything related to it.
Reply with a short answer
Type or say the gist, and Trillitask drafts the full reply for you to edit and send from your own email address.
Reply from your own email app and the card clears itself
Already answered in Gmail or Outlook? Trillitask notices your reply and marks the card done for you.
Mute a thread, a sender or a kind of email
Less like this: silence one conversation, one sender, or a whole type of email, or snooze an item until later.
See and undo what you’ve quieted
Every thread, sender and kind of email you muted is listed in Settings → Quieted, with how often it caught something.
Skipped mail: what didn’t need a card
A quick place to glance at the email Trillitask filed without a card, and to reply or mute from there.
Find anything, including old email
Search tasks, events, email, contacts, notes and more from the ask bar, or use the full search page to dig into older mail.
Reminders & calendar
Reminders that reach you, deadline heads-ups, and your calendar.
Set a reminder
Ask in plain English. You get a pop-up and a notification at the time, plus a task and a calendar entry.
Deadline heads-ups
Trillitask nudges you before a due date: a day ahead, or two hours ahead for urgent items.
Use the calendar
Month, week and day views, color-coded event types, and how events link back to their tasks.
Lists & family sharing
Park things that aren’t for today, and let family add to your lists.
Use lists for things that aren’t for today
A grocery list, a honey-do list, gift ideas: lists keep things handy without crowding Today.
Move something from Today to a list
Not pressing? Put it on a list in two clicks. It stays a real item you can search and open.
Let family add to a list, no account needed
Your spouse, kids or roommates can add to your lists by text message, by a private link, or by email, without signing up for anything.
Let family text items to a list
Pick a code word for a list, add your family’s phone numbers, and they text “HONEY buy milk” to add it.
Share a private link to add to a list
Make a link anyone can open to add items to your list. No account, no app, no phone number needed.
Let family email items to a list
Connect a mailbox and point it at a list. Every email sent to that address becomes an item.
Plans, friends & booking
Big plans broken into steps, plans with friends, and your booking link.
The Plans page
One place for big plans, plans with people, and your booking link.
Plan something big, step by step
Type a goal like “move to a new apartment” and get a timeline of 15 to 35 steps, worked backward from your date.
Add friends
Friends can send each other plans, see when the other is free (never what they’re doing), and hand off ideas.
Make plans with friends
Propose a time, and your friend can accept, suggest another time or decline. Accepted plans land on both calendars.
Make plans with someone who isn’t on Trillitask
Ask the assistant to invite anyone by email. Their reply comes back to you inside Trillitask.
Send a friend an idea
Pass a friend something to take care of, like a bug report or a suggestion. They can accept it or decline.
Share a booking link
Share one link. People chat with your assistant to pick a time, and the meeting lands on your calendar.
Memory & people
What Trillitask remembers, and the people you deal with.
What Trillitask knows about you
The assistant remembers the facts you tell it and the important ones it finds in personal email. See, search and delete them anytime.
People: your contacts
Contacts build themselves from your email. Look someone up, add notes, or get a summary of everything you’ve discussed.
Earpiece
Discreet spoken alerts while you work.
Notifications
The bell, notification history, phone alerts and quiet hours.
