Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Trillitask ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Trillitask.

2. Description of Service

Trillitask is an AI-powered personal assistant that helps users manage tasks, calendar events, emails, reminders, and personal information. The Service includes features such as AI conversations (powered by OpenAI), email scanning via IMAP, SMS messaging via Telnyx, and billing via Stripe. Features and pricing are subject to change.

3. Account Registration

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for providing accurate information, maintaining the confidentiality of your password, and all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or other accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use the Service to send spam, phishing messages, or unsolicited marketing
  • Upload or transmit viruses, worms, or other malicious code
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person

5. Subscription and Billing

Trillitask offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly basis via Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically for each billing period until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from the Billing settings page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months. We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice.

6. SMS Messaging Terms

If you opt in to SMS features by verifying your phone number, you consent to receive automated text messages from Trillitask, including verification codes, notifications, reminders, and conversational messages with your AI assistant. Message frequency varies based on your activity and notification preferences.

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details.

You may opt out at any time by:

  • Replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message
  • Removing your phone number from the Settings page in the web app

Reply HELP or INFO to any message for support information. Reply START, YES, or UNSTOP to re-subscribe after opting out. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. AI-Generated Content

Responses, summaries, task extractions, and suggestions generated by the AI are provided "as is" and may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before relying on it, particularly for important decisions. Trillitask does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI output.

8. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service (messages, tasks, memories, email data). You grant Trillitask a limited license to process, store, and transmit your content as necessary to provide the Service. We do not use your content to train AI models or for any purpose beyond providing the Service to you.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are inactive, or pose a security risk. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we may delete your data per our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TRILLITASK DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRILLITASK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 15 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Trillitask is headquartered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts located in that jurisdiction.
