Let family email items to a list

Connect a mailbox and point it at a list. Every email sent to that address becomes an item.

Included on every plan

Good for forwarding things (“add this recipe to the dinner list”) and for relatives who prefer email.

  1. Create or choose a mailbox just for this, like a new Gmail address “smithfamilylist@…”. Any email sent there will become an item, so don’t use your main inbox.
  2. Go to Settings → Email Accounts → + Add Account and connect it. See Connect an email account.
  3. Set Pipeline to This list, choose the Target list, test and save.

Each email becomes an item: the subject is the item, the message is its details, and the sender’s name shows as Added by. These emails skip the usual sorting and never become cards on Today.

The This list option appears once you have at least one list. The mailbox counts toward your connected email accounts. If the list is archived or deleted, the mailbox goes back to being sorted like normal email.
