Savings rules: save on payday without thinking about it
Move an amount to savings every payday or on a schedule, into a fund if you like, and let it stop when the fund is full.
Included with Free, Plus, TrilliOne Business and TrilliOne Pro
A savings rule is money you move to savings on a schedule. Budget counts it in your forecast and calendar, and reminds you on the day.
Add one
- On Savings, tap + Savings rule. Or tap a next step’s button, which fills everything in for you.
- Enter the amount.
- Choose how often: Every payday (the same days as your main paycheck), Weekly, Every 2 weeks, Twice a month, Monthly or Just once. For anything but payday, pick the date it starts (or, for just once, the day).
- Under Put it toward, choose one of your funds, A new fund…, or Just savings (no fund). If you have more than one savings or spare bank account, pick which one under Into account.
- To have it end on its own, give the fund a target and turn on Stop when the fund reaches its target.
- Tap Start saving.
On the day
A card on Home asks you to move the money. Make the transfer at your bank, then tap Yes, moved it. Your savings account and the fund go up, and checking goes down.
When a fund is full
With Stop when the fund reaches its target on, the rule ends by itself once the fund hits its target, and you get a Savings milestones notification. Then pick your next goal on the Savings tab.
Change, pause or delete
Tap a rule on the Savings tab to change the amount, schedule or fund, switch it to Paused, or tap Delete rule. Money you’ve already saved stays where it is.
Savings rules also appear under Savings on Bills & income. A new rule starts on its next date, so earlier dates on its schedule don’t count as missed.
