My week and the money calendar

See the next seven days at a glance, or the whole month with money in, money out and your projected balance.

My week (on Home)

The next 7 days, starting today. Each day shows dots for what’s happening and your projected checking balance. Days that dip below your cushion are highlighted. Below is a list of what’s coming, with tags like “not confirmed yet” and “autopay”. Tap a day for the details.

Calendar

Open Calendar for the whole month. Use ‹ and › to change months. Past days show what happened. From today on, each day shows what’s expected to go in and out of your everyday account, and its projected balance in the corner, so each day’s balance is the day before plus money in, minus money out and that day’s everyday spending. Red days dip below your cushion.

Tap any day to see what’s on it, including that day’s share of your everyday spending. Bills paid from a credit card or another account are listed there with the account’s name (“from Visa, not checking”) but don’t change your checking balance. Log something on this day lets you add a purchase or income for that date.

If a bill really comes out of checking, open it in Bills & income and set Paid from to your everyday account.

With or without everyday spending

The Include everyday spending switch above the calendar changes the projected balances:

  • On: your weekly everyday spending number comes out a little each day. This shows what’s left if you spend your target each week.
  • Off: only bills and paychecks count. This shows the most you’d have, before groceries, gas and the rest.

Below the switch, Checking on the last day of the month shows where you’d end up either way. Your choice is remembered on that device.

A bill or paycheck that was expected but never confirmed is counted as still pending, as if it happens today, unless you’ve updated that account’s balance since.
