Safe to spend, explained
The big number on Home: how much you can spend on everyday things before payday while every bill is still covered.
Included with Free, Plus, TrilliOne Business and TrilliOne Pro
The top card on Home says Safe to spend until Friday’s payday (or whichever day your next paycheck lands). Under it you’ll see about how much that is per day.
How it’s worked out
Budget looks at your everyday account between now and your next payday. It subtracts every bill, transfer and payment that’s due, adds any money coming in, and finds the lowest point your balance will reach. Then it keeps your cushion aside. What’s left is safe to spend on everyday things.
- It’s never shown below zero.
- If no paycheck is expected in the next 45 days, it shows Safe to spend, next two weeks instead.
- It needs an everyday checking or cash account. Without one, it shows zero.
When money is tight
If checking is going to dip below your cushion before payday, the card says how far short it runs and offers Ask the advisor to talk through options.
The numbers under it

- $X lowest, [date]: the lowest your checking is expected to get in the next 30 days, counting everyday spending.
